An Adult, an Education and Adult Education
Defining the adult learner proved to be a bit more difficult that I anticipated as there are legal components, cultural components and life circumstance components that make this task somewhat tricky. The work associated with this assignment details my definition of an adult, an education and an adult education.

Application Project - A Framework for Poverty by Dr. Ruby Payne
This piece of work is a set of lesson plans closely tied to andragogy for first and second year teachers new to a school district. Each activity addresses a specific trait known to be important for an adult learner to process information. Many of the tasks address the need for adult learners to be self-directed, applying future knowledge of a subject to having concrete knowledge and using their own internal motivation to accomplish various assignments within the lesson plans.

Brain-based Learning in Adults
This is, personally, one of my favorite academic topics as it's my belief brain-based learning is closely tied to adult education because it provides tangible examples that directly tie into the learning experience through hands-on activities, field trips and case studies which are all brain-friendly ways to learn.

Learning for Transfer
This project is a lesson plan based on the concept of conversations (metric to Old English and back) that took me on a journey of discovering how deep and vast the concept of transfer is. Upon the end of my journey I came to the conclusion that learning is linked to knowledge through the process of transfer and as we combine transfer experiences, we add to an ever-expanding database of experiences we then reference as problem-solving tools in a variety of situations.
